My name is Phoenix, I am a 1 year old Calico.  When I was found as a baby, I was being used as a "bait" cat to train dogs. Thankfully, I was rescued from that horrible place, but I was afraid of people for the longest time.  Thanks to my foster mom, I have learned to trust humans, and I enjoy their companionship! I love to steal your food when you're eating ;-) ...and I love playing with my catnip-filled scratching post. I am good with kids 7+ and, surprisingly, with dogs, after a proper introduction! But I am not a bit fond of other cats and so I'm going to need a forever home where I am the only cat ;-)


Phoenix was born approximately August 15, 2016, and her adoption fee is $55, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up to date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is entitled to a free well exam from Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center. The adoption center is too stressful for this sweet girl, so her foster mom welcomes you to come visit her in her home environment; this can be arranged with an approved application. See below for more about Phoenix.


You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend.
